Many people would like to set up a website or would like a revamp of an existing site they have. Maybe you would like to change names, or would like a new host server. Maybe you’re thinking of having a logo designed to match your website, or even a website that is mobile friendly. These are just some of the many questions that you may have, if the answer isn’t below then please get in contact with me.
How much will it cost?
There is no definitive answer to this as all websites are different, but I do offer a website package at £100 and this offers 5 static web pages inclusive of content, pictures, layout, location map and contact form. A mobile version of the site will be extra but will depend on the time it will take and quality that you are after. For all other services please get in contact with me to discuss.
How long does it take to build a website?
Typically a standard website can take as little as 2 weeks, but it will be dependant on a number of factors such as content ie text and images being sent to me. More complex websites can take longer. However, if you have a deadline to meet, I will endeavour to meet it for you.
Are you available after it is complete?
Yes, I like all clients to keep in touch, and I offer full support and maintenance. After completion or in a few years down the line I will always be available to offer an update.
How shall I supply content?
The best source for content (i.e. text and images) is by digital means by email, or if you have a CD, it can be posted. In the initial consultation it will need to be clarified how this information is to be input onto the website. If you are having a revamp then do you want the same content copied over?
Whats the first stage of the process? and will we need to set up a meeting?
After you have made contact the first stage in the process is a consultation between both parties running through an initial questionnaire highlighting what is needed etc, and In most cases a meeting is not necessary, most information can be gathered through email or by telephone.
Will it be search engine friendly?
Yes, all websites are completed fully optimised and compliant with SEO guidelines. It is always a good idea to keep websites up to date as guidelines for SEO can often change. You will also want your website to be submitted to the popular search engines, google, bing, yahoo etc.
I run a small to medium sized business and want an online presence. What do I need to achieve this?
You need a professionally designed website specifically made for your business. Also a domain name (the address of your website) and hosting (the server where your website lives). The site will need to be transferred via FTP to the host server. These are all facilities that I can help with.
Will there be any differences on different browsers?
It is true that different browsers see websites in different ways. My websites may have some slight differences as all websites do. Screen size and resolution will have an effect on what you see also.
Is there a limit as to how many pages on the website I can have?
There is no limit, but having more pages on a website incurs a greater cost. It is also worth noting that some search engines prefer large sites. They need to be direct to the point.
Do you do your websites based on templates?
No, I like all my work to be done on an individual basis therefore unique to the business and brand. Templates can be useful but cannot always represent a business specifically as requested.
